Eg Civic – Rear Subframe Brace and DC2 Integra Sway bar

Lots of the 91-95 Honda Civics did not come with a rear swaybar, those that did come with a rear swaybar have a pretty small one. If you upgrade to anything decent you run the risk of damage to your subframe from the twisting motion through the swaybar. To get around this lots of companies are now making subrame mounts to give the rear end more rigidity.

I decided to get an aliexpress special and picked one up for about $50. I decided against getting cheap lower control arms as they are pretty critical to the suspension. Package arrived a couple of weeks after i ordered and looked pretty good. Trying to fit it I found that a few holes were not in perfect alignment. Nothing a file couldn’t fix. I also found the hardware was pretty rubbish and actually the long bolt was the complete wrong thread pitch (M10x110mm at 1.5 pitch rather than 1.25 pitch). So i decided to get a full set of hardware from a local hardware supplier. The only other modification i had to do was reduce the length of the philips head screws which hold the spacers onto the brace. At the same time i put in DC4 rear arms which have swaybar mounts. Anyway with the new hardware and bracket modified this done it was a pretty easy install. This was finished off with a 22mm Swaybar off a DC2 integra.

DC2 arms actually bend the opposite way to the EG civic Arms
